• Solving the Inverse Heat Conduction Problem (IHCP) is a common approach to estimate surface heat fluxes involved in transient, quenching experiments. It well known that ambiguities are inherent IHCPs and uncertainties can be large. A “virtual experiment” followed analyze accuracy of flux estimations The results show there unavoidable issues experiments significantly overestimate temperature initial instants experiment.
